Presented annually since 2001, the global SCC Supply Chain Excellence Awards encourage the continuous advancement of the supply chain management body of knowledge and the sharing of that knowledge between organizations. The 2013 Global Awards were presented on April 8, 2013 at the annual Globobal User Meeting in St. Louis, MO. A panel of expert judges selected the winners based on project complexity, methodology and business impact:
SCC would like to thank all volunteer judges that reviewed and ranked all entries and congratulates all partipiants to the award program for their excellenct business achievements. Click the project name to download the overview of each project.
At the Global User Meeting, Supply Chain Council announced changes to the awards program. The changes to the awards program align with the strategic direction of SCC to move from managing supply chain projects to managing supply chains.
The renewed supply chain program will evaluate organizations on their ability to manage supply chains. A research group will develop recommendations what determines effective supply chain management. All Organizations Are Eligible
The Supply Chain Excellence Awards are open to all organizations (SCC members and nonmembers) that have made significant improvements in their supply chain performance. This includes manufacturers, retailers, distributors, service providers, and third-party logistics providers. We encourage applications based on specific supply chain improvement initiatives and projects.
