The Supply Chain Management (SCM) program at The University of Texas at Austin partnered with Target Corporation to develop a five week program that used Target’s supply chain as a template for learning key operations skills such as process analysis, statistical process control, queuing theory, and various inventory models. Students visited Target facilities, multiple port operations in US and China, and several Target suppliers and distribution facilities in the Pearl River Delta region of China.
Sponsored by the Supply Chain Talent Academic Initiative (SCTAI), and hosted by Supply Chain Council (SCC), this webinar presented the experience of the program’s architects and sponsors, and provided key learnings for similar partnerships. Q&A followed the presentation.
