Enhance Your Team’s Credibility Through Training and Certification

Widely recognized as the global standard model for supply chain management, the Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR®) model is the language of supply chains. Being fluent in SCOR is essential for consultants and solution providers that want to attract and add value for clients.

Supply Chain Council trainings and certifications give your team the credibility and ongoing knowledge you need to keep a competitive edge. You can even offer SCOR training and certification to clients through your membership in the Council.

Training for Your Team
Training your delivery teams in a common supply chain language and standard framework will build their skills and enhance your client engagements.

SCOR training provides your consultants with a comprehensive examination of:

  • the SCOR model,
  • development of Supply Chain Excellence with SCOR,
  • SCOR Center of Excellence development,
  • convergence of SCOR and Lean/Six-Sigma,
  • Performance Based Logistics,
  • Design Chain Operations Reference (DCORSM) model, and
  • other related frameworks.

SCC offers public training for individuals and in-house training for groups. In-house training can reduce travel costs and the average training fees per employee. Another benefit of in-house training is customization. We understand that your employees may need case examples that are relevant to your industry, and we encourage your project teams to use their projects during the in-house training exercises.

In-house training is available to Supply Chain Council members only.

Not a member yet? If you book an in-house training we will waive your membership fees for the first year.

Certification for Your Team
SCOR-P certification establishes in depth knowledge of the SCOR model and methods. Certified SCOR Professionals can be deployed throughout the organization to tackle strategic supply chain issues. Certification also provides a practical method for assessing the skills and competencies of your personnel and recruits, and a method for evaluating the effectiveness of training. Encouraging employees to achieve certification demonstrates your investment in their educational development, aiding recruitment and retention.

The certification path includes the following entry requirements and steps:

  • Minimum of five years working experience in supply chain management
  • Completion of the SCOR Framework training (2 days)
  • Completion of the SCOR Project training (2 days)
  • Successful passage of the SCOR Professional exam

The examination needs to take place within one year after completion of the classes, and there are no renewal or refresh requirements.

For more information on the SCOR-P Certification download our certification study guide or learn about the steps to certification.

Training and Certification for Your Clients
Supply Chain Council licensed training allows you to support your clients on their journey to supply chain excellence. Our licensing program provides consultancies an alternative to sending their customers to public training or requiring formal in-house training. You determine how you deliver the training to your customer's staff. We provide the materials, administer the examination and register the certification.

To offer your customers SCC qualified training eligible for certification, you are required to sign a licensing agreement. Under the licensing agreement you may obtain training bundles of five seats each.

Each seat contains the following:

  • SCOR Framework training materials
  • SCOR Project training materials
  • Registration and administration of examination
  • Examination at one of our professional testing centers
  • Certification

Pricing: $1350 per seat. Shipping charges apply.

How you offer the training as part of your consulting engagement to your customers is up to you. We only require the instructors to be SCC-qualified and that SCC approved training materials are used as part of your instruction. Licensed training is only available for Supply Chain Council members.
