In 1996 Supply Chain Council (SCC) was founded by some of the world’s brightest manufacturing and supply chain consultants and practitioners. Their mission was to establish a global nonprofit consortium whose methodology, diagnostic and benchmarking tools could help organizations make dramatic and rapid improvements in supply chain processes.

Today SCC has over 1,000 corporate members worldwide who rely on the supply chain insights and best practices provided by consultants and experts like you.

Regional Chapters
Regional chapters represent regional and local interests of members in different geographic areas. Chapters have an elected leadership team and are supported by Supply Chain Council staff. Leadership teams are often looking for consultants and expert practitioners to speak at regional events such as Supply Chain World conferences and user meetings.

Events
The Supply Chain Council organizes and participates in events around the world. Many of our trainings, conferences, local meetings and webinars are open to nonmembers and members of our affiliated organizations.

Members may join and participate in virtual and in-person discussion forums for networking and problem solving among communities of common interest.

Industry Working Groups
Industry Working Groups focus on topics relevant to a specific industry. SCC currently has working groups for:

  • Aerospace and Defense
  • Automotive
  • Automotive Aftermarket Industry
  • Energy, Oil and Gas
  • High-tech and Electronics
  • Reverse Logistics Industry
  • Software Industry

Industry working groups do not have a requirement or charter to deliver formal reports, research or intellectual property. Industry working groups are exclusive Supply Chain Council members.

Special Interest Groups
Special Interest Groups (SIGs) focus on a specific area of interest. For example: The Risk Management SIG is focused on the application of risk management and mitigation and the use of SCOR tools and methods to support risk management. SCC has SIGs for:

  • SCOR Convergence
  • Supply Chain Talent Academic Initiative (SCTAI)
