Membership

Supply Chain Council is a global nonprofit organization whose sole focus is to help our member organizations make dramatic and rapid improvements in supply chain processes. We established and regularly update the supply chain world's most widely accepted framework for evaluating and comparing supply chain activities and performance, the Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR®) model.

Our purpose is to provide supply chain professionals and their organizations with the knowledge and resources to build, manage and lead high-performing supply chains. We do this by providing members with access to:

  • Frameworks, benchmarking, templates and other resources developed from ongoing research efforts
  • Professional development via training and certification programs
  • Networking via peer events and online portals

Our membership brochure and membership benefits page provide more detail.

Membership Value & Options

We operate on a global basis with local chapters in key regions. Our membership options allow you to select if you prefer to participate in one region or on a global basis. We invite you to learn more about each membership option and become a member today.

Our members represent the full realm of audiences serving the supply chain process area – from end-user practitioners across industries, to consulting and software firms providing tools or expertise to supply chain organizations, and to academics teaching our future supply chain professionals. See how our membership addresses your specific needs.

Membership is organization-wide versus per user, so all professionals in your supply chain have access to the SCOR models, library, benchmarking and peer networking, and everyone receives discounts on training and events.

Ongoing, Active Research for Members

As an active, peer-led organization, the Council makes significant investments in research and member services each year for the benefit of our members. As an example, over the past the three years the following major releases have occurred:

  • In 2007 we completely overhauled the six SCOR training courses, which are available in public sessions worldwide as well as customized and delivered in-house at your location.
  • We launched the SCORmark benchmarking service to help members identify performance gaps based on SCOR metrics.
  • In 2008 we released SCOR 9.0, which introduced the new modules GreenSCOR, for managing environmental footprint, and SCOR for Supply Chain Risk Management.
  • We introduced SCOR-P, our professional certification, which allows supply chain leaders to identify supply chain professionals proficient in the SCOR model.
  • In 2009, we launched an updated website (www.supply-chain.org) that allows for unlimited user accounts for member organizations. We also introduced weekly webinars featuring case studies and research updates, and we launched the Energy, Oil & Gas SCOR project.
  • In 2010 we launched SCOR 10, which included detailed job characteristics and skill requirements for supply chain managers, we released a fully hyperlinked online version of the SCOR model, and we introduced SCOR Scholar, our certification program that recognizes students trained on the SCOR model.
  • In 2011 our team of supply chain leaders is working on further revisions to the SCOR model (SCOR 11), which will include fully updated and categorized supply chain best practices, and we will recognize the winners of the reinvented Supply Chain Excellence Awards.

We invite you to join as a member today and begin accessing our research.
