SCC and AAIA Launch Automotive Aftermarket Industry Group

Supply Chain Council (SCC) and the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association(AAIA) have established a special Industry Group to develop supply-chain best practices, performance measures and implementation guidelines for automotive aftermarket supply chains. This initiative will help operations managers in the automotive aftermarket leverage the Supply Chain Operations Reference model (SCOR®) to drive long-term improvements in the end-to-end supply chains of their companies.

Key deliverables of the Industry Group will include:

  • A clear definition of the automotive aftermarket supply chain including typical material and information flows
  • Common metric definitions for industry benchmarking
  • Industry-specific best practices aligned with the SCOR framework
  • A deeper understanding of the most effective supply chain strategies and performance tradeoffs.
