APICS Conducting CSCP Job Task Analysis Research

APICS is conducting a new market research program to gain insight on general expectations and performance in supply chain management roles. The Certified Supply Chain Professional Job Task Analysis project will validate the knowledge and skills required of individuals working in supply chain management roles. The results of this survey will directly affect the CSCP exam blueprint and domains. They are looking for 5 “external” SMEs to participate in creation of a task list for the survey. These SMEs would not be members of APICS, nor hold a CSCP certification but would have work experience in supply chain either as a practitioner, consultant or instructor. A combination of young and seasoned SMEs as well as a good cross section of industries, i.e. retail, manufacturing, healthcare, pharmaceutical, is preferred. The 5 external SMEs will be combined with 5 APICS certified member SMEs for a 10-person JTA committee. Identification of SMEs is required by 3/19/10 in order to meet project timeline goals If you are interested in participating or know of someone who may be, names and contact information can be forwarded to Pepper Zenger, pzenger@apics.org, 773-867-1810.
