SCC Call for Volunteers: Energy, Oil & Gas Supply Chain Benchmarking
|
Supply Chain Council Introduces Working Groups to Define Supply Chain Metrics The supply chain accounts for up to 90% of total costs for energy, oil and gas companies. Yet, there is currently no common standard for benchmarking such costs to guide strategic trade-off decisions and provide a market-based foundation for performance improvement efforts. To fill this gap the Supply Chain Council's (SCC) Energy, Oil & Gas Industry Group needs your help. We are seeking volunteers to participate in a strategic benchmarking exercise to define the essential metrics and performance levels in energy-related supply chains. Open to both SCC members and non-members worldwide, this consensus-based benchmarking project will examine the following core processes via four sub-teams:
Volunteers will be expected to share internal definitions, performance metrics and best practices to help plan the benchmarking framework. All benchmarking information will be confidential and blind. You may participate in three ways: as an active participant in the SCC working group; as a volunteer of the steering committee; or as a reviewer of the working group's progress. The primary benefit for participation will be the in-depth and exclusive knowledge of the factors that drive superior performance in oil and gas supply chains. To Participate or Learn More: We will hold a kick-off Webinar on this benchmarking effort on Thursday, April 15. The purpose is to provide potential participants with additional information on the project and volunteer aspects. The agenda will include:
Please contact our Program Manager Carolyn Lawrence at clawrence@supply-chain.org or 803-983-5941 if you have any questions about this industry-first benchmarking program. Thank you in advance for your commitment to developing industry standards and thought leadership in the energy, oil and gas sector. |
