The leading event in Africa for supply chain and oprations management professionals, SAPICS provided attendees a chance to network with fellow experts and learn from the best. The conference program consisted of 5 streams running in parallel, interspersed with idea exchange sessions, professional development sessions and world-class keynotes. The Southern Africa chapter of SCC sponsored the attendance of the two top students from the logistics masters class at Stellenbosch University, and the top SCOR-S exam result. The SCOR-S process at the university was supported by UTi for the students' ongoing projects requiring practical SCOR skills and coaching.
Included in the picture with the students are sponsors Jacques Joubert and Ulrike Kussing, who participated and helped in the preparation of the students for the SCOR-S exam. Both Ulrike and Jacques are implementation strategists in UTi SDi (supply chain design and innovation) and are SCOR-P certified. Also included are university sponsor Prof Johan Louw, a member of the Southern Africa SCC leadership team, Alyda le Hane, chapter director for Southern Africa, and Joseph Francis, SCC executive director.
